About Me

The Weathered Palate.  Get it?  Yes, it's a play on the word "pallet".  I enjoy making things out of old pallets and at the same time I love giving a fresh taste to dishes that need livening up, to palates that are tired of the same thing over and over again (says the woman who just made her husband eat Mexican food for a week).

Born in the South, raised in the Midwest, residing in the West.  I am a wife and a mother of two little boys.  My "hands are always itching for a project" (as my grandma, Mim, always says).  I enjoy cooking, baking, entertaining, taking pictures and coming up with ideas for my husband to do.  :)  I need to learn to sew but until then, my mother-in-law always helps me. My mother is so ashamed that I never learned myself.  I am a gift-giver and a do-er.  I was raised with the "I can do that myself" mentality, so I do.  I love Jesus and my goal for each day is to serve Him so He may be glorified.

Welcome to The Weathered Palate.  I hope that you will find what you're looking for.
Update: I now have my own sewing machine.  Eek!
